Back again, and MUCH sooner than usual!
Had a great time last night at OK Comics‘ Christmas shindig. Was an honour & pleasure to share a table with Messrs Darryl Cunningham & Jame McKay, both of whom were absolute gents. Also was brilliant meeting a bunch of people who came on down & were interested in all our respective books, & generally enjoyed the vibe at the late opening event.
It’s was really interesting to talk to Darryl about his latest book, Uncle Bob Adventures & to James about his work with Pat Mills on ‘Flesh‘ for 2000AD. James also casually produced a bunch of astounding sketches at the table across the evening, which made me as the only non-artist present feel utterly inadequate, being that all I could conjure up was some chat!
I wanted to extend a massive ‘Thank You’ to Jared, Oliver & Zainab at OK for hosting us, Joe & Harry at Hepworth Kitchen for providing fantastic mulled wine & mince pies, & also the crew at Welcome Skate Shop for providing the tunes! Everyone I spoke with had a great time, & I’m very grateful to have had the chance to bring ‘Exit Generation‘ to the event.
Though the evening is now past, if you couldn’t get down you can still get your hands on a copy of ‘Exit Generation #1‘ from OK, either in store or via their webshop, which you can find HERE.
As the image below shows, you can currently find it on the ‘New Releases‘ rack, next to the brilliant ‘Dungeon Fun‘, a couple along from Deadpool dressed as a pirate, & just below the latest issue of ‘Batman’. So, I hope anyone interested in having a look in the West Yorkshire area (or even from further afield) will pop in & check it out! Remember; if you’re curious there is is a 4-page preview of issue one HERE!
New Paths To ‘Exit Generation’…
As well as there being copies on the shelves at OK Comics, I am also pleased to announce that digital copies (PDF) are still available from the webstore HERE, & that physical copies are also NOW AVAILABLE too HERE.
The UK postage is just £1, making it a total of £4 for comic and P&P, so if you are keen to get your hands on the book, fire on over & pick yourself up a copy!
Well, that is me for now. Been a busy week (isn’t every week?) but will be back very soon with more news on ‘Exit Generation’ & other comic projects I have on the horizon.
Plus, in the near future I’m planning to start blogging about some of the comics/creators I read, admire or generally would recommend, so keep your eyes peeled.
Till next time, take care!
